Today was a good day. Early last year i was very interested in New York’s waterfalls. I made a list of all the local ones in the area and when Rob was on his crappy shifts the girls and i would go out exploring them for something to do. This place is about an hour…… Continue reading Edmond Niles Huyak Preserve
This was our last day camping and geocaching in PA. It was an exciting day yet a rather sad one. It was the last day of our family vacation as well as the last real camping trip with the boys. We all can not wait for them to come back for some winter action!
These pictures were in addition to the ones that we took while we were on vacation in PA. These photographs were taken by Amy O’banion. Once again I have to admit that this was one of the most enjoyable trips that we have made and hopefully there will be more to come. I am hoping that we…… Continue reading Pennsylvania by Amy O’banion
We went to the Alleghaney Mountains for the forth of july with the whole family and some friends. I was so happy to be going here as this was a place i visited as a child. This was one of those “We will go to before we move” places. I called my mother and found…… Continue reading Allegheny State Park
Back at the Campgrounds in PA, the kiddos wanted to go to the creek and play in the water. We let them play for an hour or so and they had a blast. Mason was a little upset when it was dinner time as he was not ready to stop playing.
Yet another outing into Sanders Preserve in order to obtain all of the caches placed in the Preserve. We got what we could but still have more to go!
Today was a fun day in the woods geocaching. We had made this attempt a few times before and just got rained out and stuck in sticker bushes. Today we grabbed several caches and the kiddos and puppies had a great time. We were even able to grab some friends and introduce them to the…… Continue reading Geocaching Sanders Preserve 1
This was another adventure in geocaching with the kiddos. As you can see from the photos, they were being extremely helpful with each other as usual. There is nothing better then getting away from all of the electronics and technology and going out into the woods!
While we were out and about we decided that we wanted to do a bit of geocaching so we swung by a little park called Driscoll Park. What a beautiful place. We quickly snagged the cache as we marveled in the beautiful nature surronding us.
This was our first camping trip of 2011! We had alot of work to do with the camper as mice decided to make it a home this winter, but everything good to go we set out. Being our first trip we didnt venture far as we still have a few free nights left at a…… Continue reading First Camping Trip 2011
